You must register to get the full functionality of the site.

The first thing to do is to register if you haven't already.

If you have registered then just need to login. You can have the website remember you so you don't have to login each time. The Login link is located at the top of the page.

Once you login, please fill out your profile.

Personal Information - Share as much information as you feel comfortable. Help us get to know you.

Content

Alll content must be original. If not, you must provide a link back to the original content.

There shall be no swearing, violence or adult content posted to this site.

Creating a Blog Entry

Click on Create content
Click on Blog Entry
Put in the title of your entry in the Title field
Type or Cut/Paste your information in the Body field
Assign your post to a Topic
If you need to do any formatting or insert a link or picture click on Enable Rich-Text below the body for editing features
Click on Submit to publish your Blog Entry
You will earn 10 points for every blog entry

Cutting and Pasting

If you are cutting and pasting information from another site or a word document, you may have to strip the formatting
The best way to do this is to use Notepad (Start, Programs, Accessories, Notepad)
If you cut from the website, paste into notepad
Then cut from notepad into the blog you will remove all formatting
The only time you'll need to do this is when you are cutting and pasting from a site or document that has large or irregular fonts

Creating a Hyperlink

Click on Enable Rich-Text to display text editor
Highlight the word or phrase you would like to be a link
Click on the link icon in the text editor
Enter the link URL
Select a target option and title if you wish
Click on Insert

Writing for the Search Engines

It is very important to have the keywords in the proper place when writing a blog post. Keywords are the words that people will be using to find your article when searching on the search engines.
So for instance if I was writing an article on Adsense. Adsense would be my keyword phrase. When you write an article there are 4 major places to put my keywords:
Title
First Sentence
Sprinkled throughout your article
Last Sentence

Inserting Multiple images into a Blog Post

Click on Create Content
Click on Blog Entry
Put in your title, pick a Topic and put in your text for the post
Down below the body there is a File Upload link
Browse to the file on your computer
Upload all of the files you want to include (notice below each file you've uploaded it gives you a URL)
Now scroll back up to the body of your post
Click on Enable Rich-Text to display the editor
Click on the Tree (Insert Edit Image)
Insert the URL of the file you want to include
Change any alignment, etc.
Do this for each file
Click Submit when you are done

Creating an Event

Click on Create Content
Click on Event
Enter the Event start and end dates
Enter the Title of your Event in the Title field
Assign your Event to a Topic
Add a description of the event in the Body Field
Click Submit to publish your Event to the calendar
You will earn 10 points for each event posted

To Create Forum Topic

Click on Create Content
Click on Forum Topic
Enter the Forum Topic in the Subject field
Assign your Forum Topic to a relevant forum
Add an entry to go along with your Forum Topic in the body field
Click on Submit to Publish your forum topic
You will earn 10 points for every forum topic you create

Creating a Poll

Click on Create Content
Click on Poll
Select a Topic for your Poll
Enter your Poll Question in the Question field
Enter your answer choices in the Choies field
Click Submit to publish your poll
You will earn 10 points for every poll you create

Editing Your Profile

Click on My Account
Click on Edit
Change Username, Email and Password
Put in your date of birth
Upload Your picture
Adjust your private message settings
Create a signature if you wish
Adjust your email and contact settings
Set your time zone
Click on Submit when Done

To Change Your Personal Information

Click on My account
Click on Personal Information
Fill in real name, city, gender, status, children, pets, job title, company, Web Address, hobbies, movies, tv, music, books, band information, instant messenger, and phone
All of this information is voluntary...share as much or as little as you wish
Click Submit when done
Your profile is all of the personal information you want to share with the world. Your personal information will be displayed next to every article that you write.

Invite Your Friends and Colleagues

Click on Invite your friends and colleagues
Enter their Email Address
Put in an optional email address and click Submit
You will earn twenty points for sending the invitation
You will earn twenty more points when the user signs up on the site
When the new user signs up they will automatically be added to your buddy list.

Deleting and Managing Invitations

Click on Invite your friends and colleagues
You will see a list of your invitations
To delete someone click on Delete Invitation next to their email address

To add users to your buddy list

Browse to the users profile
Click on Add to my buddy list
Click add to confirm

To view your buddylist

Click on My buddylist
You will see a list of your buddys
You can also track your buddys recent activity

Private Messages

Click on My inbox
You will be taken to your inbox
Click on Sent messages to view messages you've sent
Click on Write a new message to send a new message
Put in the users first initial and it will show you a list, pick their name from the list
Put in a subject and type your message
Click Send private message when ready to send
When you get a message your My inbox will show (1) message waiting
Click on My inbox and click on the message to read it
You will be given the option to reply delete or list message
Click on New Folder to create a new folder
Give the folder a name and click Add folder
You can move messages into your new folder by clicking the message and click on Move to folder

Logging Out

At the bottom of your navigation menu there will be a button that says Log Out
Click that link to log out
