Saddle Rash

Saddle Rash - cartoon pilot (partial)  Featuring the voices of Todd Barry, Mitch Hedberg, Sarah Silverman, H. Jon Benjamin, and Sam Seder. This is part of the 23-minute pilot episode that aired on Cartoon Network Adult Swim in March 2002. It is from the creator of "Home Movies." There was only one episode.

Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil

Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil

Lucy, The Daughter of the Devil features many of the cast and crew of the show Home Movies, including Melissa Bardin Galsky, H. Jon Benjamin, Eugene Mirman, and Sam Seder; Loren Bouchard was also one of its creators. If you liked home movies, you'll like this. Very similar in the feel, plus lots of familiar voices.

The show follows Lucy, the 21 year old Daughter of the Devil who lives in San Francisco and has been tapped by her father to fulfill her destiny as the Antichrist, whether she likes it or not. Along the way she meets up with a DJ—Jesús—who turns out to be the second coming of the messiah and develops a crush on him.

Meanwhile, her father tries different things in his quest to take over the world with the help of his advocate, who acts as something of a secretary, and a group of "Special Fathers" and a "Special Sister" are on a quest from the Vatican to find and destroy Lucy.

The animation looks very cool and the charachters are cool and I love the voices. Great stuff, check it out if you get the chance.

Home Movies

Home Movies is one of the best shows out there. Great characters, great writing, the animation is...ok. You have to appreciate squiglevision. Dr. Katz also uses this technique.

Home Movies originally aired on YPN but didn't last long. They got picked up by Adult Swim. They only did 4 seasons, which are all available on DVD. Get em all, they rule. I watch them all the time.  read more »
